General Eligibility for NIPER JEE 2022
The candidate should have qualified GPAT/GATE/NET in addition to the above mentioned subject-wise qualifying degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA of 6.75 on a 10 point scale wherever grades are awarded or equivalent. Percentage of marks or
CGPA so calculated will be based on the norms fixed by the concerned University/Institution or aggregate marks or CGPA scored by the candidate for all years of the qualifying degree, in case University/Institution has not prescribed any norm for calculating such percentage or CGPA.
For students ‘awaiting’ final year result: Students awaiting their final year results need to send confidential results from official email id of their respective university Registrar before counselling to the following email id: admissions@niperhyd.ac.in
Relaxations in Eligibility Criteria for Nipers 2022
- Relaxation in CGPA to 6.25 (on a 10 point scale) or in marks to 55% or equivalent in the eligibility criteria is allowed for SC and ST candidates.
- Physically handicapped (PH) candidates are permitted relaxation in eligibility requirement of CGPA to 5.75 (on a 10 point scale) or to 50% marks or equivalent. No other relaxation beyond this will be allowed even if they belong to SC/ST category.
Note: It is mandatory to upload GPAT/GATE/NET score card at the time of filling the online application form. Further GPAT/GATE/NET is an essential qualification for all programmes [including M.B.A.(Pharm.)], with exceptions for the following categories of candidates:
i. Candidates holding B.V.Sc./M.B.B.S./B.A.M.S./B.D.S. degree ii. Foreign Nationals iii. Sponsored candidate from public/private sector undertaking, Govt. departments and research and development organizations
iv. Candidates applying as NRI or their wards
6 Provisional application
Candidates appearing for final qualifying examinations may also apply, but they must submit final result and mark sheets of qualifying degree before web counselling failing which their candidature shall be summarily rejected. No plea/request in this regard shall be entertained.
7 Reservation for nipers 2022
7.1 Provisions for reservation shall be made as per Govt. of India rules in force.
7.2 Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates should upload the original caste certificate signed by Tehsildar/Distt. Magistrate at the time of filling the online application form.
7.3 Other Backward Caste candidates should upload the original caste certificate and certificate of income (showing non-creamy status of the candidate as per OM no. 36033/3/2004-Estt. (Res) dated 9th March, 2004 of the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension or any subsequent order issued by the Government of India in this regard) signed by Tehsildar/Distt. Magistrate. Candidates applying under this category should note that only recent income certificate (not more than one year old) shall be valid. Also OBC caste certificate produced by the candidate should be valid for admission in Central Government Institutions. OBC certificate showing validity only for a particular state shall not be acceptable. Also caste certificate issued before March 2004 should be duly updated with an endorsement by an authorized officer not below the rank of a Tehsildar.
7.4 Physically handicapped candidates should furnish a medical certificate indicating a minimum of 40% of physical defect or deformity duly signed by a ‘Medical Board’ and counter signed by Chief Medical and Health Officer of a Government Hospital.
7.5 Candidates applying for admission under any reserved category shall specifically claim admission under such reserved category and upload relevant certificates in support of such claim at the time of filling the online application form.
NRI and their wards for nipers
- The eligible NRI students will be required to pay their semester fees in US dollars as mentioned under the “Fees and Payments” head (Section 12 of the brochure). Candidates desirous of applying as NRI or as wards of the NRIs shall submit documentary proof at the time of admission in support of the NRI status. Candidates sponsored by NRIs are not eligible to apply under this category.
- No placement assistance is provided to the candidates admitted under this Section.
Candidates sponsored by Government departments/research and development organizations/public sector undertakings/reputed private pharmaceutical enterprises
- Reputed Private Pharmaceutical Enterprises’ shall mean “Industry/Government sponsored, a Trust, a Private Limited Company and a Partnership/LLP Company”. A self-employed person/small-scale entrepreneur having drug manufacturing license and 3 years’ experience of running pharma unit can sponsor himself for this (income tax returns for 3 years should be provided for their consideration under this eligibility). The Industry sponsoring a candidate should have an annual turnover of Rs. 100 crores (for Private Limited Company); 10 crores (for Partnership/Limited Liability Partnership Company); 2 crores (for self-employed), respectively. Besides above, candidate should be one whose provident fund is deducted by the employer.
- Candidate must submit a Sponsorship certificate from sponsoring organization in the form of an undertaking that the sponsored employee shall be treated on duty and paid his or her usual salary and allowances for the period of studies/research at either of the NIPERs. Such employees shall be fully relieved by the employer for studies/research. Certificate shall be provided in the form as provided at Annexure-2. Candidate should have completed two years duration of the service on the day of application/online registration in a pharmaceutical/biological/allied organization. A salary statement for last two years shall be required.
- Candidates seeking admission on the basis of study leave must show proof to the effect that he/she will be/has been granted leave for the period of study in the Institute.
- Where an employer wishes to withdraw the sponsorship, such employer shall be required to give genuine reasons for the withdrawal. The student then will be given an opportunity to put forth his or her side of issue. Where the Dean and Director are satisfied that the student has violated any terms and conditions of agreement with the employer, such person shall cease to be student of the Institute. Where student has not violated any terms and conditions of the agreement with his employer, he or she shall be allowed to complete his or her studies. No fees shall be refunded in any situation
- No placement assistance is provided to the candidates sponsored by public/private sector undertakings, government departments, research and development organizations.
- Selected Candidates shall be admitted to the programme based on merit in the entrance exam, after he/she deposits fee for first semesters at the time of his/her admission as per details provided under “Fees and Payments” head (Section 12 of the brochure).
Admission of ‘Foreign Nationals’
- On the recommendation of Ministry of Education/ Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India, eligible Foreign Nationals selected by the respective ministry under various scholarship schemes shall be considered for admission. Eligible Self-Financing Foreign Nationals shall be directly considered for admission by the Institute.
- These candidates shall approach the Institute for admission with prior clearance from Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India.
- Only those Students who have qualified from “Foreign Universities” or “Boards of Higher Education recognized as equivalent by the ‘Association of Indian Universities’ (AIU) are eligible for admission”. When required, a reference will be made to AIU to check the equivalence. In case the University or Board is not included in the list, the candidate has to obtain and submit a certificate to this effect from AIU by paying the requisite fee. Submission of Equivalence Certificate from AIU is mandatory for International Students.

- These seats shall be over and above the notified seats.
- The eligible candidates will be informed through foreign embassy in India.
- Selected candidates will be required to produce the medical report on HIV test/Vaccination against COVID-19 virus from an authorized Competent Authority of their country.
- VISA: All the international students will require a ‘Student VISA or Research Visa’ endorsed particularly to the selected institution for joining full time courses. No other endorsement is acceptable. The visa should be valid for the prescribed duration of the course. Visa may be obtained after issuing offer of admission.
APPLICATION FOR NIPER JEE-2022 (MASTER’S)
How to apply for NIPERs 2022
Applicants shall apply online on www.niperhyd.ac.in as per instructions given on the website. The process of online application shall commence on April 04, 2022, onwards and will continue till May 03, 2022.
ONLINE ENTRANCE TEST (COMPUTER-BASED TEST)
9.1 Date and venues
The online test shall be conducted on June 12, 2022, at the following test-centres:

NOTE: The place of centres is subject to change if sufficient candidates do not register for a particular city/place. No TA/DA will be paid for attending test. Candidates must make their own arrangement for stay during the online test (wherever applicable).
About the entrance test for NIPERs 2022
The permission granted to the candidates to appear in online test /counselling is merely provisional. Final consideration of the candidature is subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria to be verified at the time of counselling.
There will be a common question paper for all Master’s Programs including M.B.A. (Pharm.). The question paper will consist of 200 multiple choice questions. The standard of the question paper will be equivalent to the syllabi of B.Pharm. and PG degrees in the relevant fields. A few questions will be from general aptitude. Duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
There will be negative marking in the online test, and 25% marks of a question will be deducted for each wrong answer. The result of the online test will be declared on the official website of the Institute (www.niperhyd.ac.in).
ADMISSION PROCEDURE for NIPERs in 2022
Admission to M.S.(Pharm.), M.Pharm., M.B.A.(Pharm.) and M.Tech.(Pharm.) programmes will be conducted through online counseling procedure. Counselling would be based on merit obtained by candidates in entrance examination. The online counselling will be conducted on scheduled date and time which will be communicated to the candidates through NIPER Hyderabad Website. The allotted seat for the successful candidates shall be confirmed only after the payment of the requisite fees immediately after the counselling if admission is offered to the candidate. The details of payable fees are provided in “Fees and Payments” head (Section 12 of the brochure). Candidates will be required to upload the requisite original documents as mentioned under “Documents to be Uploaded” head (Section 11 of the brochure). At the time of reporting at the institute, the candidate will have to deposit these documents.

- Matriculation Certificate as a proof of age and correct name.
- Mark sheets of all the semesters/years of the qualifying degree.

*In case a student takes admission in a discipline /category with higher fees and payment and subsequently get his/her admission transferred/changed to a discipline /category with lower fees and payment, there will be no refund/adjustment of the additional fees /payment already made by the student in Semester-1. However from Semester-2, the student will be charged fees as admissible to the discipline/category in which student has taken admission.
Fee Structure for NRI and their wards/Self-Financing ‘Foreign National’ students
At the time of admission: US$ 6,600
Every subsequent semester: US$ 3,300
Any other fee, charges or dues at the same rate as payable by the Indian students of the same academic category and level, will be payable in US $ by such candidates.
NRI candidates even if they do not avail hostel facility, they will not be declared as non hosteller.
Refund of Security Amount
If the student does not join the programme after paying the fees and leaves the Institute, the fees would not be refunded excluding Security Amount.
Students in eventuality of withdrawing/leaving a course after joining, will have to return the entire fellowship received.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
All the admitted students [except for those admitted in M.B.A. (Pharm.) programme and candidates Sponsored by Govt. Departments, Research and Development Organization, Public Sector undertaking/ Reputed Private Pharmaceutical Enterprises] will be provided with a stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month subject to obtaining of minimum CGPA of 6.00 in each semester. In case the CGPA is less than 6.00 but more than 5.50 the stipend of the student shall be with held till he/she obtains the minimum CGPA of 6.00.
Institute will provide financial assistance of Rs. 12,400 per month to three top students of M.B.A.(Pharm.) programme. The financial assistance will be given to the student(s) during second, third and fourth semester. The financial assistance will be based on the performance and merit of the student(s) in their previous semester.
REGISTRATION/ORIENTATION
Before the commencement of each semester, every student shall renew registration in person in accordance with the procedure and schedule laid down by the Institute. The student shall deposit the fee and other charges at the time of renewing the registration. Late or in-absentia renewal of registration shall not be permitted. However, in special circumstances such as departmental assignment/training etc. the Dean, having been satisfied of the circumstances, shall permit late or in-absentia renewal of registration. No renewal of registration shall be permitted after 10 days of commencement of the classes/semester. Student who fails to renew registration by the notified date shall cease to be the student of Institute.
The registration shall be cancelled under any of the following conditions:
- Where the student absents for a continuous period of four weeks without prior intimation/sanction of leave;
- Where the student fails to renew registration;
- Where the student fails to clear the examination
- Where the student has committed an act of misconduct/indiscipline
- Where academic performance of the student is unsatisfactory; and
- Where the student resigns from the programme and his or her resignation has been accepted.
Acts Amounting to Ragging include:
- Teasing, Embarrassing and Humiliating;
- Assaulting or Using Criminal Force or Criminal Intimidation;
- Wrongfully Restraining or Confining or causing Hurt;
- Causing Grievous Hurt, Kidnapping or Rape or committing Unnatural Offence; ➢ Causing Death or Abetting Suicide.
The Supreme Court of India has made the following recommendation for immediate implementation:
- The punishment to be meted out has to be exemplary and justifiably harsh to act as a deterrent against recurrence of such incidents;
- Courts should make an effort to ensure that cases involving ragging are taken up on priority basis to send the correct message that the ragging is not only to be discouraged but also to be dealt with sternness;
- In the prospectus to be issued for admission by educational institution, it shall be clearly stipulated that in case the applicant for admission is found to have indulged in ragging in the past or if it is noticed later that he has indulged in ragging, admission may be refused or he/shall be expelled from the educational institution;
- Role of the concerned institution shall also be open to scrutiny for the purpose of finding out whether they have taken effective steps for preventing ragging and in case of their failure, action can be taken against them too.
NIPERs are committed at removing ragging in all forms in compliance with the guidelines laid down by the Hon’ble Apex Court of the country.
