The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National
Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier
testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient,
transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of
candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions.

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for
entry into M. Pharma Programme.
Till 2018, the Test was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
NTA is conducting this Test since 2019.
This test facilitates institutions to select suitable Pharmacy graduates for admission into
the Masters (M. Pharma) program. The GPAT is a three hours Computer Based Online
Test.
The GPAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions / University
Departments / Constituent Colleges /Affiliated Colleges.

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)-2022
GPAT-2022 will be conducted by NTA as three hour entrance examination in
Computer Based Test (CBT) mode to evaluate the candidates‟ ability across various
segments, for admission to the Masters (M.Pharma) program Courses in the
Academic Session 2022-23. The participating Institutions of GPAT-2022 are the
Institutions which will be accepting the GPAT Scores.
NTA does not verify the information provided by the candidates during online
registration and hence candidature will be purely provisional subject to fulfillment
of eligibility criteria as per AICTE norms.

Schedule of Examination

Eligibility Criteria for GPAT-2022
1.The candidate must hold a Bachelor‟s Degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2,
including lateral entry students) or equivalent from a recognized university.
Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor‟s Degree B.Pharmacy (10+2+4)
whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic
year 2022-23 can also apply for GPAT – 2022 Computer Based Test (CBT).

2. B.Tech. (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology)/ equivalent candidates are
not eligible to apply. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

3. There is no age restriction for appearing in GPAT – 2022.

Syllabus:
The syllabus for the exam will be as prescribed by AICTE.

Medium of Question Paper: The medium of the Question Paper shall be in English only.

 

Reservations
* In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be
applicable as mentioned below:
(i) 15% of the seats Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates
(ii) 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates
(iii) 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL)
candidates as per the Central List*
(iv) 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General –
EWS) candidates
(v) Persons with Disability (PwD) with 40% or more disability.

Fees Structure

 

Candidates can apply for GPAT 2022 through “Online” mode only. The Application
Form in any other mode will not be accepted.
Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e.
multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted.

Result for GPAT 2022 will be available on the website gpat.nta.nic.in only.

GPAT 2022 Application Form

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill the form. The registration fees for General Males is Rs 2000/-, for Gen-EWS/ SC/ST/PwD /OBC-(NCL) Male- Rs1000/-, Females (All categories) is Rs 1000/- , for Transgender (All Categories) is Rs 1000/-. The mode of the application form is online.

The following instructions is to be followed while submitting.

  • Candidates can submit the application form only once. Multiple forms can cause rejection in the candidature.
  • The final submission of the application form will remain incomplete if the payment of the fee is not done.
  • The registration fee is non-refundable.
  • The complete application form can be filled in online mode only.
  • Candidates must keep visiting the NTA GPAT Website for the latest updates.

Steps to fill the application form GPAT 2022

Step 1: visit the official website on GPAT- gpat.nta.nic.in

Step 2: click on the registration link.

Step 3: Apply for Online Registration using own Email Id and Mobile No.

Step 4: click on the registration link.

Step5: Select “New Candidate Registration” and fill in the basic details.

Step 6: After the registration process is complete, login for your account using the credentials sent to your mail. The GPAT 2022 Login will be generated after a successful registration.

Step 7: Enter the necessary details and upload the photograph and signature as per the specifications.

Step 8: Make the payment of the GPAT Exam Fees and submit the form.

Step 9: Take the printout of the form for future purposes.

Note- All the 4 Steps can be done together or at separate timings. The submission of Application of a candidate could be considered as successful and his/her candidature would be confirmed only on the successful transaction/receipt of the prescribed application fee from him/her. The Confirmation Page of the online Application Form will be generated only after successful payment by the Candidate.

GPAT 2022 Application Form Correction

Soon after the submission of the application form, the NTA opens up the facility to correct the particulars in the form if wrong. This link will remain active for a short period of time. Candidates who have submitted the form can access the GPAT 2022 application form correction facility.

GPAT 2022 Admit Card

GPAT Admit Card releases a week before the exam. Candidates who have submitted the application form successfully can download the hall ticket. To download the GPAT 2022 admit card, the applicants have to provide their application number and password.

The admit card carries all the details of the examination and the personal details of the candidate. Also, it is mandatory to carry the admit card as it serves as identity proof. Hence, no candidate is allowed to appear in the exam without the exam card.
